ISAÍ MADRIZ

he/him

Isaí Madriz conducts solo expeditions to find and document rare and new species of insects and glacier-dependent organisms. Trained as a zoologist, Isaí earned his PhD in entomology and uses his expertise to chronicle wildlife interactions in pristine areas of the world, showcasing the beauty and complexity of life.

Isaí has specialized in traversing some of Patagonia's most remote and unexplored areas using a bamboo bicycle and a packraft. He navigates unnamed glacial waterways and carries heavy equipment to find and explore the last pristine forests remaining in Patagonia and document the unique Gondwanan insect biodiversity of the region.

"I’m proud to be providing a platform for species obscured in anonymity.”
